REV. BRYAN BROCK

Rev. Brock began his ministry at Westwood in September 2019. He received the Master of Arts in Religious Education degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Education from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rev. Brock has also completed Post Graduate Studies in Congregational Systems Theory and Leadership at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. Before coming to Westwood, Bryan served in various staff roles at churches in Tennessee, Maryland, and Georgia, and owned and operated a Christian bookstore.

Bryan is married to Robin. They have two sons.

REV. STEPHEN GRAY

Rev. Gray began his ministry as Associate Pastor at Westwood in May 2004. He received the Master of Divinity degree from George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and the Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Before coming to Westwood, Stephen served at several churches in Texas.

As Associate Pastor, Stephen helps the congregation grow in faith. He has a passion for seeing people grow to be more like Christ and for empowering others to use their gifts in ministry.

Stephen’s wife, Randa, teaches English Composition at Northern Virginia Community College. They have three daughters.

REV. EMILY COLLINS
Minister of Children and Families

Rev. Emily Collins began her ministry as the Minister to Children and Families at Westwood in March 2021. Originally from Knoxville, TN, Emily grew up as a “minister’s kid.”  Emily has served at churches in Tennessee and Texas. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee, Emily continued her education at George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she received her Masters of Divinity. Emily enjoys working with children and families as they grow and change and watching them grow in Christ. In her downtime, you can find her cheering on her favorite sports teams, reading, or watching Friends.

MARTHA NEWMAN
Ministry Assistant/Office Manager

Martha Newman joined the staff of Westwood in May 2012 as our Office Manager. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Secondary Education. After teaching English in a public high school for several years, she became a legal secretary in the Federal government and in law firms in Washington, D.C. She worked as a church administrator in other Northern Virginia churches before coming to Westwood.

In her position as Westwood’s Office Manager, Martha’s teaching and administrative experience have helped her be an effective communicator and an efficient coordinator of the multi-faceted work of a church. Learning new technology and mastering new software keep her work ever-evolving. Martha enjoys interacting with members of the congregation and the public who come in or call the church office.

Martha is married to Edward Newman, who retired from a professional biotech research society in Bethesda, Maryland. Their daughter Katharine and her husband Glen have two young daughters, Margaret and Alice.

OLGA TEUTLER
Organist

Olga has served as our church organist and choir accompanist since Fall 1998. She holds a Master degree of Piano Performance and Teaching from State Musical Pedagogical Institute in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, a Bachelor of Piano Performance, Stavropol, Russia, and the Service Playing Certification from American Guild of Organists.

Olga glorifies God with her playing at Westwood’s worship services and believes that the Spirit of the Living God comes to us through the music.

In addition to serving at Westwood, Olga and her husband, Alexander, teach piano at their private studio. They have one daughter, Margarita.

GREISY ACOSTA
Custodian

Greisy has been involved with taking care of our church facilities since 2001. She assumed the role of full-time Custodian in 2008. She (and her family) has helped to make the facilities at Westwood an inviting place for members and guests to meet and to worship. Her husband, Jose (Amilcar) Montoya, also works in the custodial field. They have two daughters, Keiry and Jineth, and two young grandchildren, Grace and Joseph.
