Teens

We welcome all people who are seeking and trying to find God. That means you don’t have to be a Christian to participate… in fact, you don’t have to know anything at all about church. We’ll take you as you are, if you promise to take us as we are!

Our youth ministry serves students in 7th-12th grades. We strive to be a safe place to ask questions, express faith, serve others and have fun.

Come check us out – we hope you find us to be a place where you belong!

  • Dining and Devotions provides students with the opportunity to experience fellowship and spiritual growth in a group setting with caring adult leaders.

D&D is held weekly on Sundays following the worship service. We gather to share lunch together, followed by a devotional & activity time. Each week there are opportunities to hang out and share life experiences, to play games, to complete service projects and to learn more about our relationship with God.

  • Our Youth Ministry currently has a combined middle school and high school Sunday School class, serving 7th -12th grades. This class is led by caring adults who desire to help youth connect the stories of the Bible with the stories of their lives. We meet weekly from 9:45 -10:45.

  • Our Youth Ministry is very service-focused. Helping others and serving our community is at the top of the priority list. We participate in many mission activities throughout the year including Food Packing for the Weekend Backpack Program, serving lunch to the unhoused at the Alexandria Community Shelter, volunteering at ECHO and more!

Each summer our youth spend a week participating in a “construction” mission opportunity, focusing on home repair and renovation for those in great need. It is a wonderful opportunity to grow in faith and service. This summer we will be heading to Erie PA!

  • If you’re a teen and would like to participate, please join us any Sunday for Sunday School and/or D&D. No reservations required!

If you’re an adult who would like to volunteer on our Youth Ministry Team, please email Carrie Keene. We have a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) that meets the second Sunday of the month at 8:30am before church to plan and discuss our Youth Ministry.

We would love to have you assist and have several opportunities:

    Chaperoning events & outings

Preparing and serving lunch for D&D

Lead D&D devotionals and activity times

    Fundraising for future mission opportunities

    Supporting local mission projects
